Gonza Órdenes Reignites a Classic with His Edit of “Ven, Devórame Otra Vez,” Now Available as a Free Download on Glitch Society

At a time when the global electronic scene is looking more than ever toward Latin rhythms, Chilean producer Gonza Órdenes delivers a powerful and elegant reinterpretation of Lalo Rodríguez’s timeless romantic anthem, “Ven, Devórame Otra Vez.” His new edit—crafted with surgical precision—blends Caribbean sensuality with modern groove, transforming this classic into a dancefloor weapon for DJs around the world.

The release drops as a free download through Glitch Society, the Australian label that has been gaining international momentum by supporting fresh, daring, and globally influenced club music. Despite the geographical distance, this collaboration highlights how electronic music transcends borders, allowing talents like Gonza to expand their sound far beyond Chile.

His edit preserves the emotional core of the original while reimagining it with hypnotic basslines, minimalist percussion, and a vocal treatment that makes it irresistible on the dancefloor. With a clear focus on club functionality, Gonza reinforces his signature: a refined, effective sound infused with unmistakable Latin identity.

Glitch Society continues to solidify itself as a platform where both emerging and established creators find space to experiment. This release is a perfect reflection of that vision.

Gonza Órdenes for Glitch Mag

What inspired you to choose “Ven, Devórame Otra Vez” for a dancefloor-focused edit?

I’ve always loved salsa for its vibrant and energetic Latin textures. This track has all those elements, and at the same time, it carries the emotional intensity of Lalo Rodríguez—a feeling that invites you to dance and sing along.
Songs from that era (1989) emphasize emotion through their lyrics, especially in the chorus. Capturing those elements and bringing them to the dancefloor with modern, minimalist, underground sounds was a vision I had for a while. After a lot of practice, I finally managed to express it in this new track.

How did you balance respect for the original classic with your current electronic approach?

By keeping the composition centered on the intention of the original track, and building the new groove elements around that foundation. The chorus in the original goes straight to the dancefloor—I fully respected that, because it’s what tells the story and carries the emotion Lalo Rodríguez expressed so strongly.

What musical element defined the direction of the edit?

Groove—100%. It's the foundation of the Deep-Tech Minimal sound I aim to convey in my productions.

Did you face any creative challenges during the production process?

Absolutely. Transforming an old salsa track into an electronic cut of this style pushed me to explore and apply new production techniques, especially to give depth to the main vocal. One approach was using multiple parallel vocal channels with different envelopes, gains, and blends—always aiming for the vocal to support the groove without losing its presence.

How does this edit represent your sound and where you're heading as a producer?

This edit represents my sound completely. I want to tell a story, highlight musical timing, bring in hints of techno, elegant and mysterious elements, and of course—groove. This is the direction I want to keep developing in my upcoming releases.
